I got into this myself because I had a perfect example of what commercial pet foods can do to your pets. I had an 11 yr. old shih tzu named Harry. I had him all of his life. Like many people, I never thought of looking at what my little one was really consuming, until it was too late. He passed away after enduring canine urological syndrome, thyroid problems, and finally, Cushing's disease. It was awful. So now I am bound and determined to educate people on the real story, so that hopefully I can save one more pet from having to go through what Harry did. I will probably always regret not being informed at the time.
